DANIELA IBARRA

Daniela Ibarra-Howell is the executive director and co-founder of The Savory Institute. Born in Argentina, born and raised in Buenos Aires, Daniela is an agronomist by profession and has a master's degree in Natural Resource Management and Economics. With more than 25 years of international experience in animal husbandry, management, holistic, and collaborative programs of restoration of ecosystems, Daniela co-founded with Allan Savory and other colleagues at the Savory Institute in 2009 and became its executive director in 2011. Since then, he has led his team in the design and implementation of a strategy of global impact revolutionary, entrepreneurial and self-sustaining for the wide-scale restoration of grasslands through holistic management to address water and food security and global climate change issues.

He has served as an advisor to sustainability initiatives such as un Global Compact, A Rio+20 informal-informal, Solidaridad''s Farmers Support Program (FSP), Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB), Sustainable Food Lab, Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) , and others.

Have titles in trading advanced and conflict resolution from the University of Notre Dame.

Prior to their participation in the Savory Institute, Daniela co-founded Of the Hill LLC, a management consulting firm and management of land and served as the director for seventeen years. During that time, coadministered ranch 9,000 acres of the family in western Colorado, increasing its productivity by 300%. In the low season, she and her husband conducted educational tours for ranches around the world.

All the time he worked in close collaboration with Allan Savory, teaching, and consulting on many continents, having completed training in Holistic Management, with the Savory in 1996, when he became a certified educator.

Earlier in her career, she served as a senior Policy Analyst of Resources to the Ministry of Agriculture of Argentina, the office of the Undersecretary for Environmental Policy and the National Commission for the Desertification in Patagonia (CONADEPA); and served as a consultant for the inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the UN in agricultural policies and land restoration.

An advocate of entrepreneurial approaches to address global problems, is the co-founder and member of Holistic Holdings International Inc. and Grasslands LLC.
