WHAT IS aleJAB?
aleJAB is a non-profit association that brings together a network of change agents in the field of agriculture (producer@s, tecnic@s, activists, associations, cooperatives...) and is part of the global network of the Savory Institute, an international organization that promotes the regeneration of the earth through the decision-making framework of the Management is Holistic.

HOW did aleJAB?
Concerned about the progressive degradation of ecosystems, and the abandonment of rural areas of the Iberian Peninsula, a group of people who were in training in Handling Holistic joined in Aldeacentenera in April 2016 to lay the foundation of the Association and submit the application to be the Hub of the Savory Institute, achieving the accreditation in December of that same year.
MISSION, VISION AND VALUES: REGENERATING YOUR LAND AND RURAL ECONOMIES
aleJAB works for the regeneration of ecosystems on the Iberian Peninsula, the people and the rural economies through cooperative learning in the framework of the Management Holistic, to strengthen the network of agents, managers of the territory committed to the verification of the regeneration agroecológica, the generation of wealth and the improvement of the quality of life. They also serve as a reference handling regenerative successful for the mediterranean territories in north africa.
Its vision is to be a reference in the management of regenerative and cost-effective agro-ecosystems. As well as significantly contribute to the sequestration of carbon in soils, and the increase of other environmental services and sustainability of life in the society.
STRUCTURE AND GOVERNANCE: THE SOCIAL BASIS AS A PILLAR
Currently are more than 70 partners, both of technical profiles how productive, counting with the support of entities that are key to the agriculture regenerative.
The Association has eight professions is accredited by the Savory Institute to accompany the growers and producers in the learning process and implementation of the Management is Holistic.
The governance model is assembly, with a Board of Directors that oversees compliance with the agreements taken out in the annual meetings by all the partners. It also has a technical secretariat for the coordination and implementation of a part of the activities.
WHAT ACTIVITIES DO YOU PERFORM?
aleJAB supports producers and production companies in the implementation of the Management Holistic to have experiences demonstrative successful allowing them to learn in a collaborative way. Currently have influence over more than 50,000 ha in the Iberian Peninsula and have four demonstration farms in Handling Holistic and more than 30 partners. In addition, she has collaborated on several projects that drive the livestock regenerative how the Project GODEHESA (2018-20221), group operating in Extremadura which led to the implementation of the Management Holistic in eight pilot farms and the development of the brand of quality Go-Dehesa.
Are focused on the development of skills in the decision-making process in the rural area, under the framework of the Management Holistic, having organized more than 50 official courses, seminars, workshops and field briefings, training to more than 1000 people.
How to fundamental part of your job is the dissemination of the Management Holistic. Therefore, in June 2019, organized a tour of Allan Savory for the Iberian Peninsula, with a high impact of the media and more than 1500 people during all events (visits to demonstration farms, masterclass, courses, conferences, tasting dinner...). In addition, they have been close collaborators of Visual Metaphor in the Documentary “Won or Desert”, with the recording of many moments of the tour. Also, in April 2022 have organised a meeting of producers of cattle grazing and tasting of the flesh with a large influx of people.
They have recently begun to be part of the program Land to Market (L2M) of the Savory Institute, a solution supply that connects consumers, brands and retailers aware directly with farms that are regenerating their land. To do this, verify the ecological outcomes of on-farm of the program through the implementation of the protocol Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV).
